Overview
Alarune is a quantitative market analysis app for iOS, published by Alarune LLC. Alarune LLC is not a bank, broker-dealer, or investment adviser. This policy explains what information the app may collect, how it is collected and used, who it may be shared with, and how you can request access or deletion. We do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
- Account information — username and a securely stored password hash, used to authenticate you.
- App activity — content and preferences you create or set in Alarune (for example alerts, notes, and display settings).
- Push notifications — if you opt in, a device push token may be stored so we can deliver alerts you request.
- Diagnostics — optional crash or performance reports (for example via a crash-reporting SDK) to improve stability. Alarune does not collect payment card data.
Data is collected when you sign in, use app features, enable optional services (notifications, diagnostics, or AI), or when the app syncs with services you enable.
How we use information
We use this information to operate the app, authenticate your account, deliver features and notifications you enable, improve reliability, and respond to support or privacy requests. Market quotes and charts may rely on third-party data providers. If you connect a brokerage account, order and position data are processed according to your broker’s terms; Alarune is not a public brokerage or investment adviser.
Optional AI features
Alarune may include optional AI features. They are off by default and must be turned on in the app. When enabled, limited app data may be processed to provide that assistance. See our AI documentation.
Third parties
Depending on what you enable, Alarune may share limited data with service providers that help run the product (for example hosting, push delivery, crash diagnostics, market data, optional AI providers, and — only if you connect one — your brokerage). We do not share personal information with advertising networks for targeted ads.
Any third party with whom we share user data in connection with the app is required to provide protection for that data that is the same as or equal to the protections described in this policy and required by Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
- We do not use your data to train public AI models for unrelated products.
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.
Security
App communication uses encrypted connections (HTTPS) and authenticated API access. You can manage notification and related permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
Retention, consent, and deletion
We retain account and app activity data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Push tokens are kept while notifications remain enabled. Diagnostic data, if collected, is retained according to the diagnostics provider’s retention practices and our operational needs.
You may revoke consent for optional collection by disabling push notifications in iOS Settings, turning off optional AI or diagnostics features in the app, or disconnecting a brokerage integration you previously enabled.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (including account closure), email charlie@alarune.com. We will respond within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days). When we delete an account, we remove or irreversibly de-identify associated personal data from our systems, except where we must retain limited records for legal, security, or accounting purposes.
Children
Alarune is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version.
